Commissions OPEN

Mon Oct 15, 2012, 12:38 PM

Commissions are closed for now! Please send me a note if you have any questions.

IMPORTANT: (Initial) payments have to be made within 24 hours after I gave you my PayPal address. If not, your commission will automatically swap places with the first person on the pending list.

THE PENDING LIST: This is a reservation list. If the active list is full, you will be placed on this list and I will notify you as soon as a spot opens. You will not have to pay until then. Once the pending list is full I will close my commissions and finish all of them before I re-open.

• Sawolf151 - Full color painting (15h)
• Darktoki - Sketch

Please visit my latest journal for more information: Commissions open!

If you are unsure about your request or if your desired option is not in the price guide, never hesitate to ask! Most of your questions should be answered by my Terms of Service, if not, feel free to leave a comment here or send me a note. If you'd like to read up on people's experiences with me as a working artist, please take a look at my review journal.

Oh gosh. I'd adore getting a YMC commission, if you're still accepting. Or I can wait until next time if not.

I don't mind waiting, period. x3

I will definitely contact you when I have again enough money for "funsie stuff" (still need to pay a car repair and easter is also coming up, that means getting gifts for my family and friends :P). I wish I could fast forward 2 months lol.

Huh, the critique page looks really neat, I'll have to come back to you in May when I graduate from my community college to get some feedback from you. And I have no art teachers this semester to get help from.. and I need to start making some stronger pieces for my ghetto portfolio. How would the page work, does the person give you three of their best pieces and you give the feedback? How does it work?

No actually, you tell me what you'd like to get some help with, or if you want an 'overall' critique then I pick out your weaknesses based on your gallery, and choose pieces to serve as examples myself :). I hope to hear from you, then!

Oooh, okay! Time for me to poop out some better stuff then, not enough 'serious' art in my gallery. I'll definitely get back to you again when I gotta start making my portfolio.

Oh my Lhune. Your ToS are so professional. Would it be okay for you if I'd base my own ToS off of yours?

Yeah? I chickened out a bit yesterday and lowered my prices to what I considered a more "safe" range for the dA/FA crowds. Looking at them again now after a night's sleep I think you may be right. I tweaked them a little for the types that haven't been commissioned yet, not very professional of me but ah well. I think I can live with the prices as they are now; I've got a saving plan where I need to make a minimum amount every day which I think I'll make at this rate. If not, I'll have to close for a while and open them again with slightly higher pricing.

Why don't you approach professional clients? Even if you are a junior or something it's not a thing you should be terribly afraid of. Okay so maybe I am but don't follow my example. Research companies with art you like and approach them for freelance.

I think I'll do that when I'm done with my internship :). I can't really make any solid promises in terms of the work I can do each week and I feel like I need to brush up on some skill areas before I can really approach anyone seriously..

Have you thought of making book covers? I think that would be something that would fit your art. (:

A lot of it has to do with starting out small and building it up. Internship makes things tricky though, is it unpaid? If so, free labor is kinda boo. I keep my opinion as if I'm gonna kick my ass for a job or career I should get some compensation.

Heya. I just wanted to drop this here:
I've been watching you for a little less than 2 years now, which is not that much compared to your 7 years on dA, but my whole dA-life. Wanting to say, your art has kind of been "accompanying" me ;] And I'm always stunned by your works, whether by the anatomy, or atmosphere, or color and shading. It's really been an inspirating to me, no matter that I'm mostly using a different medium.
So I read through this Commission journal and also your Terms of Service, and I must say that I'm really amazed by how incredibly professional and nice you are. You're somehow "the artist that I dream to be someday", even if that sounds kinda kitschy^^' I was just like wow. Awesome art & Awesome personality. I think it's great that you still manage to reply to the comments and questions you get!
Because I'm a poor little school student, I can't afford commissioning you, although I'd really love to (I'm pretty sure you've already heard this a billion times x] ) But I found out that I could buy a print. Even if that's not helping you much, concerning the money you get from it. My personal favourite of yours is "Bigger than us both" c:

Too long, didn't read: I admire you

Also, by the way, two questions: Why did you take out the prices in euros? I found them helpful in you previous infos, and not too confusing :)
And what do you mean by "Mentoring" in other available types?

Thank you so much for that kind and encouraging comment <3. It is really appreciated and I'm quite impressed that you read my ToS even if you don't plan to commission me ^^. Again thank you so much for the positive feedback <3.

I took out the Euros because I figured most people calculate in USD, plus I think most of my watchers are from the USA, I feared they might be a bit intimidated/confused by the Euro sign ^^".

Mentoring would be going over a person's work/gallery and critiquing it thoroughly, basically guiding them to the best of my ability and giving pointers as to what they should focus on to improve faster and so on :). Critique is something I usually give voluntarily, but since time is so precious to me now if people want me to really spend personal time with them to help them improve, I'm going to have to charge by the hour.

You're very very welcome

Oh okay^^ Well I guess it's not that much of a difficulty for me or other europeans to use the internet and figure it out again ;)

That sounds really interesting c: And yeah, I can understand that you can't "throw out your freetime" for free^^ Since you charge by hour, how long would you approximately take for something like that? I mean if it's like in a range that you explained in your comment? I kinda can't really fathom how much time it costs to do that^^'

Unfortunately, many artists can't accept points because they are trying to earn money to pay bills, food, etc. :) Points would otherwise be rendered useless for us.
