The result of a collaboration between ~NeverfilledVoid and myself, of =theblackbutterfly's character Swarm, drawn as a dragon :>.

This was initially a (long overdue) trade between me and TheBlackButterfly. Because Never and I were considering doing collaboration-commissions, I asked TBB if she was alright with us using my trade with her as a practice piece and so, here it is. We believe it turned out to be pretty successful, and as a result we have decided to offer these as a commission type!

We will be open for one collaboration-commission at a time. Please check out my journal or Never's for availability :>! They start at $200 per full color, with the option to add one extra character for $90. If you're interested, please send Never a note!

Amazing picture. I especially like your idea about hands. Wing and head are also amazing.

I'd say it's a successful collab! ^^ Like a blend of two talents. I also really like the character's face, it's well rendered :)

If you don't mind me asking, what is the advantage of having two artists work on a piece instead of just you? Wouldn't it get annoying if he made changes or colored something in a way that you wouldn't have?

That is exactly the advantage; having two artists work on a piece means they will each have their own interpretation of the image and so we give each other ideas and visions that we would never have thought of on our own. If Never hadn't started with that dark background, then I would probably not have come up with the eerie setting and so on. Another advantage is the divided work load; we each work on the piece for about an hour every turn. That means we won't stare ourselves blind on it and miss mistakes or opportunities; you always start with fresh eyes, give it your own flavour and then let it evolve again :). It's more enjoyable that way, too :>.

Interesting, I never considered that :) I'll have to find someone whose style is similar enough to mine and give it a try! <3
